"Turn Back Time" is a song by Scandinavian dance-pop group Aqua, released as their seventh single overall, and the third UK release. The single is their third United Kingdom number one. The song featured on the soundtrack for the 1998 film Sliding Doors, and was released across the world the same year. On its May 1998 UK release, the song topped the charts for one week, enough to put them in a small, elite group who see their first three singles all make number one.
The song possessed less of a "bubble pop" sound than their other releases, and subsequently gained far more radio airplay than their other releases. The song was slow-paced and showed the full range of Lene Nystrom Rasted's vocals, while maintaining the Aqua sound. The video for the release contained footage from the Sliding Doors film, and was therefore very different from the previous, comedy videos by the group. There are two different edits of this video, one contains more clips from the film. Much of the video was filmed on the abandoned platform 5 at Holborn tube station.
The song samples the Pet Shop Boys' single, "Heart."
In Japan, "Turn Back Time" was released along with "My Oh My".
This single did not do well in America and therefore was the third and last single released by Aqua in the USA.

In Part II the SCANDANS Scandinavian Folk Dancers of North Carolina perform the second of two dances that explore the very human traits of attraction, jealousy and conflict. Part I featured the Trekarlspolska ("Dance of the Three Guys") in which one fellow tried to flirt with every woman he saw. In Part II the second dance -- the Oxdans -- is a tongue-in-cheek look at conflict resolution! SCANDANS is a non-profit cultural/educational organization whose goal is to share the rich cultural heritage of the Nordic countries through traditional dance and authentic ethnic costumes.

This is a Swedish folk melody from Dalarna, in Ohrwalls arrangement. A 'polska' is a Scandinavian dance in triple time, which originates from Poland.

Ohrwall is a Swedish conductor and composer. He is known for his collaboration with Nikolaus Harnoncourt and Concentus Musicus Wien.

Northwest Folklife takes a trip to the Skandia Ball to learn more about Scandinavian music, dance and dress as a part of the 2011 Cultural Focus: Northwest Stories. On First Friday, March 5th at 7pm, the Mariposa presented Bringing in the Light—Music, Dance & Folklore from Scandinavia with Andrea Larson, Henriette Isene, lydia ievins and Gideon and Joanna Morse.

Over the centuries the long Nordic winters were a wealth of creativity. The many hours of darkness not only yielded beautiful handwork, from intricate sweaters to woven rugs but also fiddle tunes were crafted and dance steps enjoyed for hours at a time. The performance at the Mariposa will include folk songs played on Swedish and Norwegian
national instruments, the nyckelharpa and the Hardanger Fiddle and the dances that follow their tunes.

Fiddler extraordinaire, Andrea Larsons entire repertoire included ballads, mouth-music and fiddle tunes from Scotland, Ireland and Scandinavia. Prior to moving to New Hampshire in 2001, Andrea toured nationally as a soprano in the Waverly Consort's "American Journey" program. As a collaborative musician, she has worked with director
Richard Schechtner, choreographers Martita Goshen and Liz Claire and composers Glen Velez and Wayne Hankin. The past few Decembers Andrea Larson appeared as the fiddler in the Cambridge and New York City Christmas Revels.

Gideon Morse, is an amazing Norwegian dancer and his wife, seasoned artist Joanna Morse, plays the Hardanger fiddle, the Norwegian national instrument.

Whether playing Scandinavian, contra or English Country dance music, lydia ievins infuses her fiddling with great musicality, grace and precision. Her love for creating rich harmonic lines led her into exploring the vibrant traditions of Swedish fiddling, and thence into taking up the challenging and haunting nyckelharpa, or keyed fiddle, the national instrument of Sweden.

Henriette Isene, originally from Oslo, Norway, has had a lifelong love of music and dance. Her enthusiasm for her native folk songs is infectious, her delivery of them passionate and memorable.

Celebrate one of the most genuine and beautiful festivals in Wisconsin....Scandinavian Midsommar!

It's a festival filled with fun and food plus music and merriment!

This annual event happens at Old World Wisconsin, just off Highway 67 outside the village of Eagle.

Activities start at 10am with the decorating of the Midsommar Pole. There are flower crowns for the children and everyone is encouraged to join.

Music and dancing with the Skansen Children's Club, the Lekspel Swedish Musicians, Dark of the Moon band and the Lykkeringen Norwegian Dancers.

A Swedish Buffet is available for purchase in the Clausing Barn Restaurant...or picnic on your own!

The Midsommar Activities are free and located on the Green near the visitor's center. Attendees can enjoy half price tickets to the museum.

Bring some flowers...bring your lawn chair...and be ready to enjoy Scandinavian Midsommar at Old World Wisconsin.
